A cup of earl grey is all that it takes to bring me back to 2b of UW. I was sitting down for breakfast today, and decided to change my routine and skip the jasmine tea and brew myself a cup of earl grey. When I smelled the aroma of the earl grey with milk and tasted its awesomeness I was instantly brought back to Waterloo. I remember zombie walking to the C&D in the math building or the one in eng depending which one was closer, and getting the largest cup of tea (for only 90 cents) and then trying to stay awake in the lectures while sipping at it. I will remember Dan taking our finished (and sometimes unfinished) Styrofoam cups and doodling on them. Sometimes these doodles will puncture a hole in our half empty cups and when we tried drinking from them later, hilarity ensues. :) Good times. It is quite wonderful how memory works. the simplest of things triggers a flood of memories and makes me smile like an idiot in the office, while sipping a cup of tea.
